GTU-CHP of Mayak-Energiya LLC, Penza

For house load of OJSC Mayak – Paper Production Facility.

In the free areas of OJSC Mayak, grass-roots construction of the auxiliary gas turbine unit is underway, consisting of three power units based on gas turbine power plants with heat-recovery steam generators. Construction of power units is based on state-of-the-art high-performance equipment manufactured by Russian and foreign companies.
Each power unit comprises the following equipment:

  •  SGT-300 type gas turbine power plant manufactured by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, with a normal capacity of 7.494 MW (as per GOST 20440-75);
  • heat-recovery steam generator Е-20-0,8-170 manufactured by OJSC EMAlyans, with a capacity of 20.79 t/h of dry saturated steam (at operating pressure of 0.8 MPa (abs.) and operating temperature of 170.4 0С).

The construction process is divided into two stages. Each stage ensures stand-alone operation:

  • the first stage provides for construction of two power units including buildings, structures, and utility systems required and adequate for their stand alone operation.

JSC SWECO Soyuz Engineering plays the role of the General Designer of GTU-CHP for Mayak-Energiya LLC.
Currently, JSC SSE employs its own resources to render authorial supervision services at the commissioning stage.

The positive expert finding was obtained on July 09, 2015.

Within the final stage, the company specialists will follow up the commissioning operations, as well as the quality of as-built documentation.
As a result of the project implementation, the installed electric power of the GTU-CHP first train will be 15 MW.
